The original Yuclet personal water filter has an unlimited shelf life! Once used, the filter lasts up to 1,300 gallons - enough to last an individual for over 5 years. Yuclet water filter fits most standard 28mm or 30mm threaded water/soda bottles. For bottles with shallow threads, the bottle neck ring may need to be removed. Please check if the silicone dust plug has been removed if you experience low or no flow rate. The filter can be used to filter fresh water rather than saline water.
If you experience low or no flow rate, consider replacing the filter. Water flow will cease when the filter reaches the end of its lifespan. If you start to experience bad taste, it's also time to replace the filter. TDS stands for total dissolved solids, and represents the total concentration of dissolved substances in water. Some of these dissolved solids are contaminants, and Yuclet water filter does remove some of them, but many are actually good for you, such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium. Yuclet water filter is designed to remove contaminants and particles from water, but it doesn't directly affect the TDS level. For reducing TDS levels, you would need a different type of filtration system, such as a reverse osmosis filter or a distillation process.
